What a fantastic beginning to the term! Year 5 students kicked off the term with a bang, and they have seamlessly transitioned into their new classroom. Each morning, I am greeted by an enthusiastic group of eager learners, which brings me great joy. These young learners have embraced the challenges that come with being in a higher grade, displaying remarkable maturity and a strong sense of responsibility for their education.
Our term began with a focus on sharing and composing holiday recounts, and it was truly fulfilling to read the diverse range of holiday experiences shared by the students.
In the realm of Science, our exploration has centered on Earth and space. The students have already acquired a wealth of knowledge about the planets comprising our solar system, and they thoroughly enjoyed crafting three-dimensional models of these celestial bodies during their Art lesson. Additionally, they have commenced preparations for their assembly on the same topic, showcasing their newfound expertise.
In Geography, our thematic focus for this term is "Extreme Weather." We have already delved into the awe-inspiring world of various extreme weather phenomena, and the students are finding this topic incredibly captivating.
Our journey into Roman Numerals has been both educational and enjoyable. The students have taken pleasure in breaking down numbers to express them using Roman numerals, displaying wonderful enthusiasm. Across all other subjects, they continue to produce high-quality work, demonstrating their enthusiasm for learning.
We eagerly anticipate an exceptional year ahead filled with growth and discovery.
