Year 2 pupils are having an exciting and productive term, filled with engaging learning experiences across different subjects. In Maths, they have thoroughly enjoyed exploring multiplication and division, using various strategies to solve problems with confidence. Their growing skills in number work have been impressive!
In Science, the children have been fascinated by their study of plants. From learning about the different parts of a plant to understanding what they need to grow, they have become little botanists, eager to share their knowledge.
English lessons have been just as exciting, with the Big Write sessions allowing pupils to unleash their creativity. They have been working hard to develop their writing skills, structuring their ideas into imaginative and detailed pieces.
Amidst all this, the highlight of the term has undoubtedly been the KS1 production! The children have been rehearsing tirelessly, showing dedication and enthusiasm as they prepare to bring their performance to life. Their energy and commitment have been truly inspiring. We are thrilled to invite you to watch their production, “The Puzzled Penguin”, which will be presented next week on Wednesday, 19th March, in the School Hall of Nations. Friends, family, and neighbours are all welcome to attend and celebrate the children’s hard work!
The most memorable moment, however, was the much-anticipated trip to Fort Jesus. Stepping back in time, the children explored the historical site, deepening their understanding of history in a hands-on and exciting way. The trip was not only educational but also a thrilling adventure that will stay with them for a long time.
With such a fantastic term of learning and exploration, we can't wait to see what more Year 2 will achieve in the coming weeks!
