Year 1 Jumba Ruins adventures

15th October 2022

On Tuesday, Year 1 children travelled to Jumba La Mtwana near Mtwapa to explore the Jumba Ruins and adjacent beach.

The trip was hugely educational and included some incredible discoveries, such as how to hold a sea urchin safely, some extremely old buildings, possibly one of the oldest baobab trees in Mtwapa, a pandanus tree that made a perfect hideout and that the ocean recedes a very long way at low tide! We were blessed with perfect weather and we all had a wonderful adventure!
