WORLD SCHOLAR’S CUP

During our weekly Skill Quest gatherings, a group of students from years 5 and 6 engaged in reading and debating within their teams to hone their abilities for the World Scholar’s Cup. They dedicated their weekends to rigorous preparation, pouring their energy into the endeavor.
On February 12th and 13th, 2024, they participated in the regional round of the World Scholars' Cup hosted at Light International School. The competition comprised four distinct events: Scholar's Bowl, Collaborative Writing, Scholars Challenge, and Team Debate, all of which required teamwork against competing teams.
A standout moment was when Alice Chui, our school's top debater, represented us in the Debate Showcase, where she faced off against high school and college students.
Their diligence paid off as our students clinched medals and trophies across all events. The pinnacle of success arrived when all our teams qualified for the global round, with one team placing 3rd overall!
Kudos to the entire team—Sean, Alice, Dev, Aaryan, Ayden, Vyan, Alenka, and Lloyd. You've truly excelled!
