Tutankhamun Day

28th October 2022

On Friday 4th November it will be exactly 100 years since Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun. It is the only Egyptian pharaoh’s tomb ever to be found intact.

It remains the greatest archaeological discovery of all time.

Therefore on Friday, Years 5 – 8 will celebrate the occasion by taking part in a number of events associated with Tutankhamun and Ancient Egypt.

There will be a quiz and puzzles, artwork, a tourist business venture and dance choreography all with an Egyptian flavour.

The discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb was a monumental event in 1922, making international headlines.

I hope you agree that it is worth celebrating.
