It is a pleasure to share with you the details of the Year 6 to Year 7 transition day trip to Sai Rock Beach Hotel and Spa. This annual excursion, organised by the KS3 Coordinator and future Year 7 form tutor, aims to foster bonding among the students and set a positive tone for the upcoming school year.
The day started with cheerful conversations and excitement as the students boarded the bus for the short journey to the hotel located along the breathtaking coastline. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with warm smiles. We went straight to the beach and began with team-building activities designed to promote collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills. The students participated in games, such as sandcastle-building competitions and ‘capture the flag’. These engaging activities encouraged teamwork, strategic thinking, and healthy competition, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among the students.
Afterward, the students were treated to a delicious lunch of their choice. They relished the opportunity to enjoy their meals together, sharing laughter and engaging in conversations that transcended the boundaries of their respective year groups. In the afternoon, the students played board games and had a splash in the swimming pool.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the school administration, and Sai Rock Beach Hotel and Spa for the valuable opportunity for students to interact with each other, forging new friendships and strengthening existing ones.
We look forward to many more engaging activities with both year groups next academic year.
Happy summer break!
