Secondary Mathematics – why practise and challenge are the key to success

25th October 2024

We have had an enjoyable and challenging first half of the term in Secondary Mathematics. As always, with Mathematics practice is key. We practise in our homework to remember, to revise and to progress. It is not just about remembering the facts, knowing this is the key to success.

In addition to practise, we also need to experience challenge in order to reach our full ability and reach our challenge targets. This can feel uncomfortable at first, and possibly a little frustrating. However, as long as the underlying concepts are understood we can find solutions to increasingly more complex problems with practice if we are willing to persevere. It is from achieving success after a challenging problem that the true reward and joy of Mathematics arises.

Enjoy a small challenge yourself
