Secondary Mathematics

28th October 2022

In Key Stage 3 we continue our coverage of the Cambridge Secondary 1 curriculum. The advantage of following a set curriculum for Maths at this stage of the school is to ensure that students are covering all the content they need to prepare them well for Key Stage 4 and their IGCSE Mathematics course. The Cambridge Secondary 1 curriculum is updated regularly and offers a good level of challenge to help our students reach their full potential as well as being tailored to ensure a smooth transition to the IGCSE course. Following this course is one of the ways we keep in line with international standards and expectations.

In Key Stage 4 we are working towards all the IGCSE objectives. The Year 10 class has now settled into the course and are branching out into new topics. The Year 11 class will soon be finishing their coverage of the course and starting preparations for their Mock Examinations which will take place at the beginning of next term. This is the time now to increase their level of practice.
