3rd December 2021
This week saw the primary children take to the field to show off their running, jumping and throwing skills. We were very excited to see how the children performed, having not been able to for so long.
The day started with our youngest children in the early years jumping into the pit, dashing along the track and throwing in various challenges. These children were very excited and performed very well, particularly enjoying the running events where they had the chance to run with their parents as well.
The junior sports day followed as the day began to warm up both physically as the sun became hotter and on the field as the children pushed themselves further and faster! There were many, many notable performances with so many it would be very difficult to point to just one, and not only the winners! The relays were possibly the most exciting point; in some races showed teamwork and camaraderie in others as different year groups and abilities pitted themselves against one another.
The results were extremely close. We scored the children on their achievements, so the further they threw or jumped the more points they received for their houses.
The final scores are as follows:
Chui - 4870
Simba - 4980
Kifaru - 5021
A huge well done to Kifaru on winning this terms sports day!
And an even bigger well done to all of the children for putting in such amazing efforts in the hot sun. We are looking forwards to more sporting events as we enter term two.
