Primary Prefects

The role of prefect is an important one, where students are nominated for the position by staff from different departments, including teachers, teaching assistants, kitchen staff and the admin team. In order to be selected for this prestigious position, students must demonstrate they are good ambassadors for the school, both with the staff and pupils, and out in public.
I recently met with Ariana and Luca, our two Primary prefects, to discuss their job description in detail. In order to raise their profile, they came up with ideas they could implement with immediate effect such as helping to seat students as they come into and leave assembly, meeting with new students and writing articles for the newsletter. They also shared their longer term goals of enhancing our playground facilities. As the year progresses, we are looking to appoint more students from Year 6 into this leadership position.
