Primary Maths Day 2017

23rd February 2017

What a blast we had! The festivities began with a Maths hat parade, showcasing our children’s artistic and mathematical talents. These ranged from princess hats to jester hats, from clocks to Roman numerals. It was such a pleasure to see the huge effort so many of our children had put into making them, and the pride with which they wore them.

The day continued with the children having the opportunity to take part in a vast variety of mathematical tasks, such as Sudoku puzzles, logic puzzles, problem solving and making and playing maths board games.

The day was concluded with something very new: a family-group Maths challenge. This was the icing on the cake as, with 11 teams, it showed not only our dedication to Maths at school, but also to the parents! Children and adults alike had a fantastic time solving problems involving shape, number and logic. A big thank you to all of you who participated.
