Primary Inter-House Competition

The end of term inter-house matches were a fantastic way for us to celebrate the end of term. Kifaru, Chui and Simba battled it out on the netball courts and football pitches with some excellent cooperation between teams and lots of sportsmanship and respect shown for each other. There has to be a big shout of well done to the yr 1,2 & 3’s that were forced to rerun the football competition having been drenched on Monday!
The netball had many highlights - with Jake, Kate, Alba and Ciara scoring good goals for the 4,5 &6s and Umilsa, Saphia, Falma, Mikyela Ella Freya and Nuriyah scoring during the yr 1,2 &3 games. The improved standards of play and enthusiasm from all of the boys and girls was amazing. In the end Chui managed to win the tournament, beating both of the other houses.
During the football competition there were many great performances. Simba defended heroically, with Clemmy, Lloyd and Gregory standing out. Goal scorers Liam, Fahad, Serbia, Matis (5!!) Denis, Alba Jake and Shay in the older age group and Ella, Augustine, Vyan, Alexander, Alfonso, Alvin, Arthur and Ishmeer in the younger age group. Overall Chui managed to take this competition as well, with two good wins.
During the whole competition two young sports people stood out for their attitude, application and ability. Ella shone in both the football and netball, putting her all into every match. Shay equaled these efforts showing good sportsmanship and teamwork as well.
Well done to all of those that have taken part, the staff that supported us and the groundmen that have worked really hard to get the pitches ready.
