The Crèche children love doing their art activities. They have been busy making different Christmas crafts to celebrate the festive season. I have been very impressed to see them making their own creations from boxes like a house, a car and a boat.
Mrs Zainab
FS 1 children listened to the story of ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’ and made a mobile of the characters from the story. They also created art based on the rhyme 'The big ship sailed', mixed colors to make new ones, took part in free painting outdoors, made a basket from the story ‘Little red riding hood’ and frogs from the rhyme '5 little speckled frogs'.
Miss Grace
FS2 learnt about how Christmas is celebrated around the world. They made a wreath, with paper and green and red crepe paper. They had to create the look of leaves and flowers.

Who am I?
The goal of this art project was self-expression! Students were asked to create a piece that best represents them in words, colour, actions and even brush strokes. The finished products were very pleasing and represented the personalities of each of the students very well.
Mr Buckley
We have been experimenting with different mediums during our lessons. We have been inspired by our science and topic lessons when creating our art pieces this term for instance, creating landscapes of different habitats, using weaving techniques to create a frog in a pond in addition to creating some lovely Christmas drawings and crafts.
Ms Karuri
Art lessons in year 3 are always abuzz with excitement, colour, and curiosity. Our young artists have eagerly explored different mediums and techniques including paper mache, mosaic, sculpting, string art and created various items closely related to our topic units on Italy and Ancient Rome. Have a look at our warrior faces!
Mrs Pasta
Year 4 had a go at tie and die in their Art lesson last week. They enjoyed the lesson and were able to produce some amazing patterns.
Mr Kamana
Year 5 enjoyed every bit of their art sessions with Ms Onyango.
We linked most of the art works to our Victorian topic and produced amazing pieces.
Mrs Mwaka
Year 6 have loved having their art lessons in the Secondary art studio this term with Ms Onyango. We started with some amazing art based on a Ugandan piece of art work, using a watercolour background and fabric for texture and effect.
Linked to our Black History topic, we then used glossy magazine collage pieces to create interesting portraits of significant black leaders.
For our COBIS ‘Who am I…?’ entry, we created 3D cubes to represent ourselves.
Alma Thomas was our final inspiration of the term for our expressionist art work, using paint and a particular technique.
These finished pieces can be seen in various displays around the school- do come and have a look!
