Welcome to another sporty term!

This term sees us take to the cross country course, rugby field and netball courts. In their first lesson of the week, across the whole school, the children will be improving their cross country running for the first part of term then playing rugby and netball in their second lessons. In Rugby lessons, mouth guards should be worn alongside the usual Braeburn PE kit.

Please pack an extra uniform in case students need to change after their PE lessons.

Cross country (three weeks) then rugby lessons:

Monday - Years 3&4 in primary, Years 9, 10&11 in secondary

Tuesday - Years 5&6 in primary, Years 7&8 in secondary

Wednesday - Years 1&2 in primary

Netball lessons:

Wednesday - Years 3&4 in primary

Thursday - Years 5&6 in primary, Years 7&8 in secondary

Friday - Years 1&2 in primary, Years 9,10 & 11 in secondary

Term two ended with some fantastic inter-house hockey matches across the whole school. All of the students participated and showcased their skills to their level best. Kifaru house became the overall winners in both primary and secondary after very competitive matches against the equally tough Chui and Simba houses. The high-tempo traditional end of term Staff & Parents vs Secondary students game was excellent, with the Staff & Parents team running out winners in a breathless encounter. We look forward to another fixture this term when tag rugby and netball will be the sports played.

Thank you all for the huge support that you gave the students last term.

We look forward to giving all students the best sporting experiences and making more improvements this term.
