The past months have witnessed remarkable achievements and the warm embrace of new talents, shaping a dynamic atmosphere at school.
At the beginning of the academic year, the high school extended a hearty welcome to our newest members in Key Stage 5, the A-level and BTEC students who have joined us this academic year. Their unique perspectives and talents promise to enrich our diverse student body at Braeburn Mombasa, creating a mosaic of academic excellence. The resumption of the BTEC program marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing a comprehensive education, tailored to diverse learning styles and career aspirations. This resurgence positions our students for academic excellence and success in the professional realm.
As we progress through the academic year, our Year 11 students are fervently preparing for their mock examinations, pivotal assessments that illuminate strengths and areas for improvement.
As we foster an environment of learning, growth, and community, we eagerly anticipate the achievements and successes awaiting our students when they eventually sit the IGCSE examinations at the end of the year.
Simultaneously, our Year 10 students have embarked on a journey of exploration after selecting option subjects aligned with their interests and future career aspirations at the beginning of the year. Their enthusiasm and curiosity as they study subjects of their choice set the stage for a rewarding educational experience.
A visit from representatives of UK universities early this term brought valuable insights into college selection and a glimpse into the myriad academic and career opportunities available. Committed to empowering students with informed choices, our school aligns the PSHCE curriculum with their career aspirations, providing essential life skills for success, and the Year 12 topic, ‘Readiness for Work’ gave them a lot of insight on future jobs and work environment.
Continued effort from all the students with support from staff is integral to making our senior students in Key Stages 4 and 5 and the school a vibrant and nurturing place for education.
Merry Christmas and Best of Luck to all our IGCSE and AS level candidates as they prepare to sit for their Mock examinations early next year when school resumes after the break.
