KS2 Learning

9th May 2022

What a strange first two weeks it has been! Three public holidays, torrential rain and school inspectors! The children have coped magnificently with the disruption and excitement and we have still managed to pack in some fantastic learning!

Year 6 are pottering back in time to study the Ancient Greeks and will soon be busy making their own Greek pots from clay. In Science, they are spotting similarities and differences between different species and learning how to classify living things.

Year 5 are meandering through the Mayan civilisation, alongside finding out about the properties of different materials.

Year 4 have stepped back into Tudor times, whilst learning all about solids, liquids and gases.

Year 3 are digging into rocks and soils, and finding out all about tea production and export in Kenya.

The classrooms are looking amazing, full of stimulating, interesting displays to engage the children, and the children have returned to Term 3 rested, smart in their uniforms and ready to learn. Thank you for your continued support with homework and please do not hesitate to get in touch with your child’s class teacher if you have any questions, concerns or comments.
