Dear Parents and Carers,
It is the end of week three already! Time flies when you are immersed in work, lessons, homework, extracurriculars, and the invaluable process of making new friendships, mending broken ones and strengthening the existing ones. We are delighted to report that our school community has warmly welcomed new students who have seamlessly found their footage and formed connections with their peers.
The atmosphere around the school is positively buzzing with happiness. Our Key Stage 3 students eagerly anticipate their breaks, eager to hit the field for football, shoot some hoops on the basketball court, or enjoy the thrill of swinging on the slacklines, all while engaging in lively interaction. Just this morning, I was on morning duty when a Year 7 student brought a large lively crab discovered amidst the dewy grass while exploring the grounds!
I am immensely proud of our students who have already set personal targets for this term, recognising the importance of diligent preparation for their upcoming end-of-year examinations. From the personal targets they shared with me last week, It is encouraging to note that many of them are not only familiar with their CAT4 targets but are actively incorporating them into their personal goals for academic improvement across various subjects.
Our upcoming Key Stage 3 residential trip to Naivasha's Hell's Gate on the 19th of next month promises an unforgettable adventure. Please ensure that permission slips are returned to school as soon as possible. We extend our gratitude to those parents who have already made payment. Rest assured we are diligently monitoring weather forecasts and collaborating with our trusted partner, Bosky Safaris, to implement comprehensive contingency and evacuation plans. The safety and well-being of our students remain our utmost priority.
We deeply appreciate your ongoing collaboration with the administration and teaching staff. We eagerly anticipate welcoming you during the upcoming parent-teacher consultations in week 5.
With warm regards,
Rachel Simon
Key Stage 3 Coordinator
