Inter-Schools Chess Competition February 2023

On Saturday 4th February, our team of 8 chess players entered their first inter-Mombasa school chess tournament. Nerves, excitement, fun and camaraderie lead them through the competition, with Dev, Alvin, Alenka, Nuriyah, Aaryan, Ayden, Aiden and Tung’a working hard to collect points for the BMIS team. We scored 3rd position overall, with Tung’a gaining a silver medal in the U14 age category and Aaryan receiving a gold medal in the U10 age group. A huge congratulations to our students who worked hard to prepare for this event, including extra lunch time practices. Congratulations Team BMIS!
