Inclusion News

27th October 2023

This week, students had a challenging and thrilling time interacting with word families for words that begin with similar sounds. Contextually and with the dictionary, they were able to tell the meaning of these words, adding to their vocabulary and understanding of word structure. The consistency in the words makes it easier to learn spelling for those with challenges in this area.

Year 8 students were excited to learn about word classes, a key skill that facilitates effective and accurate use of language in various contexts. They were able to demonstrate their understanding of this by reading texts and highlighting the adverbs and adjectives.
