Dunia na Mbigu

Earth and Space is a topic I always look forward to teaching. It is an exciting topic that students already have prior knowledge from other subjects and through general knowledge. The Year 6 class has started with exploring celestial bodies (the sun, moon, planets and stars - jua, mwezi, sayare na nyota). They are learning these terms in Kiswahili and making comparisons in terms of size, shape and even colour. We have done some of these shapes with papier-mâché and intend to complete the project in the course of the term. We can not wait to show the final product to all of you.
