FS2 News -Busy Bees

2nd February 2024

Our FS2 busy bees have had a great beginning to their exciting adventures in term 2.

We have been learning about ‘Healthy Me’. The children have been learning about what a fruit is and what a vegetable is, and they enjoyed tasting a variety of fruits and vegetables. Our healthy children went on a 3km walk around the Nature Trail and of course carried on exercising at the playground! We will continue to learn about how to keep ourselves healthy throughout this term. We are beginning to replant our garden and grow some healthy fruit and vegetables for people and pets in the Early Years.

We have been exploring the concept of homes and houses through stories, songs, construction, and imaginative play. They made some awesome houses in pairs with a range of construction resources and loose parts. Next week we will make some junk modelling houses. I am looking forward to seeing their amazing work and ideas.

We delved into the fascinating world of penguins for Penguin Awareness Day. There were fun facts, crafts, stories, and penguin dancing!

I am looking forward to seeing where the children decide to take our learning to next.
