Empowering Year 7 Students: Reflections on Term 2A's Journey of Identity

24th February 2024

In Term 2A, our Year 7 students explored topics such as identity, rights, and responsibilities. Through engaging in discussions and activities, they reflected on their identities and learned about their roles within society. Embracing diversity was a central focus, as students celebrated differences and learned to appreciate the richness it brings to our communities.

Moreover, students tackled challenging issues such as prejudice, stereotypes, and discrimination. They developed the courage to speak up against injustice and advocate for equality, both in their interactions and within broader societal contexts. Additionally, students addressed the various forms of bullying, including online harassment, learning to recognise its signs, and responding effectively to support those affected.

Throughout the lessons, interactive tools like quizzes and Kahoot games were integrated into, reinforcing learning while fostering collaboration and friendly competition among students. As we enter Term 2A, we are proud of the progress our students have made in their understanding of these important topics.
