Creative individuals learning new skills and enjoying success in Music.

3rd March 2023

Creating music can be challenging especially when it comes to classical music. One has to follow a set of rules but still be creative and create a composition that is both unique and pleasing to the ear. The Year 7 have begun learning how to compose simple melodies on the staff. I am pleased with their creativity especially with the choice of pitches and melodic contour.

The Year 8 students on the other hand, have begun composing melodies with accompaniment on the staff. I am impressed with their creativity and diversity in their accompaniment. The use and selection of chords to accompany their melodies was well thought-out to bring a different feel to each melody. Here are some of their compositions.
