COBIS Inter-House Art Winners - Secondary

26th November 2022

The Arts department at BMIS strives to ensure that learners enjoy success, embrace creativity and appreciate the aesthetic value of everything that exists around them.

In the just concluded COBIS inter-house art competition, students explored different media and surfaces and were able to create some amazing art pieces. This is a culture that BMIS encourages students to participate in each year.

Students showcased art-themed WHO AM I or rather the things that made them unique. They shared some amazing elements that they have, from self-portraits, trips they enjoyed, sports they love, and even family portraits. Some went to the extent of sharing their different personalities using distorted portraits.

Choosing the winners was not an easy task. They were as follows:

Key Stage 3

  1. Hendrika - Year 9
  2. Ana - Year 9

Key Stage 4

  1. Lilly-May - Year 10

I encourage and challenge all students to submit an art piece next year.

Well done to all the students who entered this year’s competition and a big congratulations to the winners. The quality of entries was exceptionally high.

We wish them well at the international level.
