On 11th and 12th February the following students represented the school in CASA Mixed Level Age Group, Open and Masters Swimming Championship held in Mombasa: Ariana, Matis, Luca, Aiden, Malak, Fidel, Denis, Ernest and Nicole
They competed well demonstrating how confident they are while competing against the other clubs and schools with each one of them improving their personal best times in their individual events. It was the first time we, as a team, entered as Braeburn Swimming club and we did not disappoint as we scooped over 40 medals in total.
In girls 10-11 BMIS still holds the record in 50 metres butterfly with a time of 32:58 seconds.
The following swimmers had an outstanding performance in their various events and were awarded individual medals. Best personal times were also recorded for these events:
Nicole had: Bronze in 50M freestyle, Gold in 200 IM, Silver in 200M freestyle, Bronze in 50 M breaststroke and silver 100M breaststroke.
Fidel had: Bronze in 200 IM.
Ariana had: Silver in 50M freestyle.
Matis had: Bronze in 200 IM and Bronze in 200M breaststroke.
Luca had: Silver in 200 IM, Bronze in 100 M breaststroke, Bronze in 200 M freestyle, Bronze in 50 M Breaststroke and Silver in 200 M breaststroke.
We had five relays in total and we came first position in all the relays. The teams were as follows:
