Braeburn students enjoying success in French.

The prestigious awarding ceremony for the 2023 French DELF exams in the Coast region took place last Friday. We are thrilled to announce that Braeburn Mombasa International School emerged with outstanding achievements, securing the title of the best student in level A1.1 for Vyan and the best student in level A1 for Nuriyah.
Peter in Year 8, undertook the DELF Junior A1 exam while still in Year 7. This remarkable achievement was a testament to his dedication, as he made a significant sacrifice. Despite being sick that day, Peter travelled from Kilifi and arrived by 7:30am to take the exam. His commitment paid off, as he achieved an impressive score of 69%!
I am particularly proud to share that our school had the highest number of students attempting the DELF prim exams in the Coast region and I am also delighted to report a remarkable 100% success rate. This success reflects the hard work, dedication, and excellence that define Braeburn Mombasa International School. Well done to our students, thank you parents for registering your children, the Senior Management Team and everyone involved in making this achievement possible.

Discovering the beauty of the French language is an exciting journey at Braeburn Mombasa, where we prioritise enjoyment alongside the development of the four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In Year 2, our focus is on engaging conversations and attentive listening, while gradually introducing familiar words for reading. This foundational approach sets the stage for gradual progression.
As our students advance through the years, we witness remarkable growth. By Year 4, a significant milestone is achieved as some students are well-equipped to attain the DELF Prim Level A1.1 certification. I am impressed with the linguistic journey our students undertake and I am looking forward to their continued success in mastering the French language.
