Every Tuesday, an air of excitement filled the school as Year 1, 2, and 3 students gathered for the highly anticipated French club. This special club offered a unique blend of learning and fun, designed to immerse young learners in the delightful world of the French language.
With a variety of engaging activities tailored for beginners, the French club quickly became a favourite among the students. They participated in interactive games that made learning vocabulary a playful adventure, while creative art projects allowed them to express themselves and reinforce new words in an artistic and memorable way. Captivating videos and animation stories brought the language to life, providing visual and auditory contexts that helped solidify their understanding.
The weekly sessions were more than just a break from routine; they were an opportunity for students to revisit previously covered topics and build upon their knowledge with new material. For the youngest learners, the focus was on mastering nouns, a critical step in preparing them for constructing simple sentences. This foundational work laid the groundwork for more advanced language skills as they moved up to higher classes.
The French club was a vibrant and supportive environment where students felt encouraged to explore and experiment with their new language skills. It was a place where learning French was not just an academic task but an enjoyable and enriching experience. The enthusiasm and curiosity of the students made each session lively and dynamic, fostering a love for the French language that would grow with them as they advanced in their studies.

Where every creation is a masterpiece of imagination.
As the curtains close on another term in our Art Club, we reflect on the vibrant journey of creativity that our young artists have embarked upon. From paper crafts to painting techniques, poster making to card creation, each session has been a canvas filled with imagination, discovery, and joyful expression.
The term began with a flurry of paper crafts that ignited the children's imaginations. from the delicate art of origami to the bold designs of paper mosaics, KS1 children explored the versatility of paper as a medium. They crafted intricate designs, folded playful animals, and even experimented with layered collages, each creation a testament to their growing skills and boundless creativity. With brushes in hand and palettes filled with color, our young artists delved into the world of painting techniques. The children enjoyed making posters for different occasions and came up with lovely hand made cards,
This term, our scouts have made significant strides in their activities and learning. They kicked off the term by delving into the rich history and founding of the scouting movement, gaining a deeper appreciation for the scout laws and promise, as well as the significance of the scout salute.
Building on this foundation, the scouts also acquired essential life skills. They learned basic first aid, equipping them with the knowledge to handle minor injuries and emergencies. Additionally, they mastered the use of a compass, learning how to navigate and locate positions using compass directions.
Looking ahead, we are thrilled to announce that our very first investiture ceremony will take place early next term. This special event will mark the formal induction of new members into our troop, celebrating their commitment and achievements.
Stay tuned for more updates and join us in congratulating our scouts on their remarkable progress!
Happy Scouting!
